Art Show Featuring Vincent Richel

Christmas Classics & Collectibles and John & Sharon are proud to announce the first Art Show of 2010 featuring Rangeley Artist Vincent Richel. The Show will spotlight his Driftwood Furniture and Wildlife Sculptures created from the respectfully collected driftwood from various lakes in Maine. Aside from being thoroughly cleaned, it has been left in it’s natural state, hardened and weathered by the sun. The show will run Friday Feb. 19 and Sat. Feb. 20. The Gallery is located inside the I.E.C. Showroom at 2437 Main Street, Rangeley, Maine and is open from 10 AM to 5 PM. Meet Vincent from 2 PM to 5 PM both days. Refreshments will be served.

“Inspired by nature and the beauty of my surroundings, I create sculptures with driftwood in an attempt to emulate nature. Each collected piece that has been weathered, and shaped by time and the elements, is unique. The pieces come together to create sculptures that evoke a feeling of having drifted naturally; like the flow of water creating a drift in a lake. My sculptures pay homage to the cycle of life, and become a reflection of nature and it’s intrinsic beauty.”
