CUPSUPTIC RIVER: This trip takes from 1 to 1.5 hours with easy access. Enter the river at the public boat landing, located approximately 1 mile past the Maine Forest Service Station on the east side of Route 16 West. “Hinkley’s Café” a camping and a picnic area, is located about 1 mile up river on the west side. Three quarters of a mile further up the river on the left is “Mooch’s Cabin”. Passage becomes impossible at this point due to rocks and a small falls. Paddlers must turn around here and return.
