Town of Rangeley Parks & Recreation Summer 2012 Schedule

  • Adult Tennis: Starts mid June. Contact Carol at 864-3325 or Amy at 864-9989 at Oquossoc and private courts.
  • Junior Tennis Classes: Ages 18 & Under: Call for lessons/ instruction. Contact Tom Byrd at (617) 872-8476 – Rangeley court.
  • Ladies Tennis Classes: For lessons/ instruction, contact Tom Byrd at (617) 872-8476 – Rangeley court.

  • T-Ball/ Baseball Skills: Thursdays @ 5:30 PM starting June 28 @ Rangeley Lakes Regional School. Contact Bill Hayes at 670-8312.   
  • Dutch Soccer Academy: July 16 – 20 at Rangeley Lakes Regional School. Ages 4 – 18. To register contact Tammy Krul at 492-1147 or emailDSA@dutchsocceracademy.com.
  • Olympic Style Archery Lesson – For ages 9 or older at the Rangeley Region Guide’s & Sportsmen’s Association. All equipment provided. Contact Mac Dudley @ 864-5919.
  • Mountain High Backcountry Adventures: Nature photography, remote fishing, overnight remote camping by canoe, hike or bike in. Contact Mac Dudley at 864-5919. Also, fly fishing and spin casting lessons available all summer long.
  • Kayaking Skills Class:  Wednesday, July 18 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Need a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 6. $45.00 Fee – reservations are required. Contact Linda Dexter at Ecopelagicon at 864-2771 for more information.
  • Stand Up Paddle Board Class: Wednesday, August 8 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Reservations are required. Contact Linda Dexter at Ecopelagicon at 864-2771 for fees and more information.
  • Adult Basketball: Sundays at 6:30 PM at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School. Contact Tony Clark at 670-5313.
  • Basketball Skills Camp: By age group – boys and girls. Starting July 10 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Tuesday & Thursday – open gym from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Rangeley Lakes Regional School. Runs through the end of July. Contact Matt Clark @ 864-2561 for fees and more information.   • Parks and Recreation Community Trips:

1.)   Senior Trip.  Augusta shopping trip – July 11. Contract Rick at 864-5947 or Monica at 670-5773 for more information.

2.)   Funtown/ Splashtown. Wednesday, August 1. Minimum 15 persons – children under 18 must have parent chaperone. Sign up at Rangeley Town Office. Contract Monica at 670-5773 or Rick at 864-5947.
