Hunter safety training offered

RANGELEY — The Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association will be sponsoring a free firearms hunter safety training program Aug. 2, 3, 9 and 10. Students must attend all 4 days (6 to 9 p.m.), a total of 12 hours, to successfully complete the training.

MTA’s Emily Luce prevails in both slalom and GS

By David Hart Irregular Staff RANGELEY — In alpine state championship Class B girls skiing, there are nine possible podium spots between slalom, giant slalom and combined events. In those nine possible positions, the Mt Abram girl’s ski team members enjoyed standing on five of those spots.
