RANGELEY — Voters here and in several plantations approved a school consolidation plan by a combined 698-238 vote Tuesday. The new school system will replace Union 37 as of July 1, 2010.

School consolidation plan passing late Tuesday

RANGELEY — With five of six communities reporting voting results late Tuesday, a plan to reorganize six school departments in Franklin and Oxford counties into one regional school district was passing 213-139. Only Rangeley had not reported results as of late Tuesday

Crews plow first snow

RANGELEY — State trucks headed up to northern Franklin and Oxford counties Tuesday morning to plow for the first time this season. Snow fell in low-lying areas as well as higher elevations, though most melted as soon as it hit the ground
