RANGELEY – The summer activities in Rangeley are winding down; September is a good time to reflect, re-evaluate, reform, and be refreshed. The Rangeley Friends of the Arts is a dedicated group of volunteers with a mission to “increase awareness, knowledge, education, appreciation and support for the arts by making available varied programs of high artistic quality and by related activities, and to operate exclusively for charitable, literary or educational purposes.”

New lake landing sites for hiking, picnicking offered

RANGELEY — As summer winds down and autumn approaches it’s a good time to remember that this is perhaps the very best time to enjoy a hike in the forest, a paddle on the lake, a picnic by the lakeshore or a leisurely scenic boat ride. To that end the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust suggests, do it all and on the same outing. read more
