The following is a complete schedule of events for the 2012 Rangeley Snodeo.

January 19th – 21st, 2012 – Headquarters: Moose Alley

Thursday, January 19

  • Chili-Chowder Cook-off – Bald Mt. Camps: 6:00pm
  • Casino Night – Rangeley Inn: 7:00pm
  • Entertainment Open Mic Night at the Farmhouse Inn

Friday, January 20

  • Yamaha Demos – Rev-It-Up: 9am –4pm
  • Polaris Demo Ride & Lunch – Oquossoc Marine: 10am
  • Vintage Snowmobile Display – Boss Power Equipment: 10am-2pm
  • Arctic Cat and Ski Doo Demos – Boss Power Equipment: All Day
  • Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club WELCOME TO SNODEO with door prizes and 50/50 Raffle – Moose Alley: 4 pm-9pm
  • BOWL-A-THON – Moose Alley: 4 pm-9pm (50% of the proceeds to RLSC Trails)
  • Auction with Larry Koob Moose Alley: 7:00pm
  • Lucky 50/50 ticket drawn: 9:00pm

Saturday, January 21

Radar Run at Russell Cove on Lake (NOTE: All snowmobiles participating in the Radar Run MUST have a functional tether switch or throttle override!)

  • Registration Side Door of Moose Alley: 9am -12pm
    • Runs All Classes Russell Cove: 9:30am-1pm
  • Poker Run Registration Moose Alley: 8:30am-1pm
    • Poker Run Rangeley & Oquossoc: 8:30am -3:30pm (Prizes: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, 3rd Place $50)
  • Displays and Vendors under Tent Russell Cove: 9am-3pm
  • Yamaha Demos Rev-It-Up: 9am- 4pm
  • Arctic Cat and Ski Doo Demos Boss Power Equipment: 9am-3pm
  • Hands-on Children’s Activities Table Rangeley Inn: 10am- 2pm – Compliments of the Wilhelm Reich Museum Discovery Room
  • NEW! 120 rides for Kids Oquossoc Marine: 10am – 2pm
  • NEW! Ski Plane Scenic Flights Town Cove: 10am-2pm – Sponsored by Acadian Seaplanes
  • Helicopter Rides Town Cove: All Day – Sponsored by C-R Helicopters Inc.
  • Making of Gingerbread Men Gingerbread House: 11am-1pm
  • Activities for children with Sally May
  • Open House Camp Do What You Wanna: 12pm-5pm
  • Turkey Bowling Russell Cove: 12:30pm – Sponsored by the RLRS Class of 2014
  • Rave X Show Boss Power Equipment: 2:00pm
  • Awards Ceremony & Drawing for Arctic Cat snowmobile – Moose Alley: 4:00pm
  • Parade Line-up Rangeley Inn: 5:00pm
  • Snowmobile Parade: 5:30pm – Rangeley Inn to Town & Lake Motel where Float Trophies will be awarded
  • Fireworks Display by Atlas Lakeside Park Following Parade – Fireworks Sponsored by RLSC & “Camp Do What You Wanna”
  • Dinners and Entertainment at local establishments in the evening
  • Pig Roast Farmhouse Inn: 3:00pm
  • Pig Roast & Raffles Four Seasons Cafe 11am-4pm
  • Dancing Moose Alley Featuring “Last Kid Picked”: 9:00pm – Proceeds from these events benefit the Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club Trail Fund.

It is against the law to ride on public ways, sidewalks, and plowed roads. Please stay on marked trails. Snowmobiles may be registered at Rangeley Town Hall, The Plantation Hall’s and Boss Power Equipment.

OQUOSSOC — Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club is offering a snowmobile safety program and will participate in the “Take a Friend Snowmobiling” program during school vacation week again this year. These programs are free to the public.
