West Kennebago Mountain Trail

WEST KENNEBAGO MOUNTAIN TRAIL: Take Route 16 west towards Wilson’s Mills from Oquossoc. Travel 4.8 miles to the dirt road (Morton Cutoff Road) on the right. Follow this road 3.2 miles and make a right at the intersection. Continue 5.3 miles to the trail. The sign is on the left. Follow the trail markers. This trail offers a moderate hike through hard- woods, spruce trees, conifers and mosses on the way to the summit. Blow downs at top. Good mountain and lake views from the fire tower. Distance to the summit: 2.5 miles. Summit height: 3,705 feet.
