Recreational Programs in Maine’s Rangeley Lakes Region
The Town of Rangeley Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of recreational programs for all ages during the summer, autumn, winter, and spring seasons. Activities include tours, lessons, crafts, sports, games, trips, and classes. Pre-registration is required for most programs. Each Sunday in July, August, and September from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Wilhelm Reich Museum host a series of scheduled natural science and outdoor related educational programs. All seminars are free of charge and are lead by knowledgeable instructors who are well respected in their given fields. The museum is centrally located off Route 4 on Dodge Pond Road between the Villages of Rangeley and Oquossoc.
Summer day camp programs for both boys and girls (children and teens) are offered by The Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust (864-7311) and the Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association (864-5647). Both are located in the village of Oquossoc.
