RFA ART SHOW The annual Art in August show sponsored by the RFA will be August 2 from 10am to 4pm. It will be located on Lakeside Park in downtown Rangeley.

Sandwiched between a cloudy Sunday and a torrential Tuesday the students in grades 3, 4 and 5 from Rangeley were privileged to spend a perfect Monday at Merrill Auditorium with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. This year the Youth Concert was titled “Sounds Like Art.” Weeks prior to the concert, students were invited to paint, choreograph, or write poetry while listening to composers such as Stravinsky, Beethoven ,Vivaldi, and Richard Danielpour

Students attend Portland Symphony Youth Concert

Students at The Portland Symphony Orchestra Thanks to the Rangeley Friends of the Arts, 50 students from Rangeley Lakes Regional School in grades 3, 4, and 5 had the opportunity to attend a Portland Symphony Youth Concert at Merrill Auditorium. Conductor Robert Moody introduced the audience to the four instrument families highlighting each family in a variety of pieces.
